DPSC executes agreement with South Bihar Power Distribution Company

India Power Corporation (formerly known as DPSC) has executed the Distribution Franchisee Agreement with South Bihar Power Distribution Company, Government of Bihar for undertaking distribution franchisee for distribution and supply of electricity in Gaya, Bodhgaya and other adjoining areas. The agreement was executed in presence of the Minister of Energy, Government of Bihar in the office of South Bihar Power Distribution Company, the state distribution licensee who has granted the franchisee.

DPSC (formerly known as Dishergarh Power Supply Company), one of the oldest power utility companies in India, was incorporated in the year 1919 in the state of West Bengal. The company generates 12 MW from its coal-based thermal power plant at Dishergarh and operates 95 MW of wind power plants in Gujarat, Karnataka and Rajasthan, cumulatively.
