JSW Energy surges on commissioning unit IV of power project in Rajasthan

JSW Energy is currently trading at Rs. 45.70, up by 0.80 points or 1.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 44.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 44.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 44.90 and Rs. 44.10 respectively. So far 46115 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 104.25 on 03-Dec-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs. 39.15 on 22-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 45.90 and Rs. 40.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7363.85 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 76.72% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.90% and 13.38% respectively. 

JSW Energy’s unit IV of 135MW of the 8X135MW power project at Barmer, Rajasthan, has been successfully commissioned and has achieved commercial operation date (COD) from December 04, 2011.

Recently, the company’s unit III of 135MW of the 8X135MW power project at Barmer, Rajasthan was successfully commissioned and also achieved commercial operation date from November 07, 2011.

JSW Energy sells power through a combination of long-term and short-term power purchase arrangements and through the power exchanges in India to state-owned utilities, power trading companies and some industrial consumers.
