CARE revises ratings of Sharon Bio-Medicine’s bank facilities

Credit rating agency, Credit Analysis & Research (CARE) has revised rating of Sharon Bio-Medicine’s (SBML) long term bank facilities worth Rs 400 crore to ‘BBB-’ from ‘BB+’. The rating agency has revised rating of company’s short term bank facilities worth Rs 25.32 crore to ‘A3’ from ‘A4+’. Moreover, the rating agency has also revised rating of company’s Long Term Loans worth Rs 121.31 crore to ‘BBB-’ from ‘BB+’.

The ratings revision takes into account improvement in financial risk profile of the company post restructuring of FCCBs, robust sales growth in FY13, stable profitability margins of SBML and addition of new capacities towards its formulations division. The ratings also derive strength from SBML’s experienced promoters and international accreditations of its facilities.

Sharon Bio-Medicine’s Toxicology Laboratories is an independent cost centre and is approved by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Government of India has approved Good Laboratory Certificate to SA-FORD which is valid as per OECD Countries - GLP studies.
