Container Corporation eyeing to set up 13 multi-modal logistics parks

Container Corporation of India (Concor) is planning to set up 13 multi-modal logistics parks across the country in the period of over next five years. The company has currently started work on two projects, one at Khodiyar in Gujarat which is spread across 150 acre while the second project is at Nagulapalli in Andhra Pradesh spread across 80 acre.

Depending upon the size and location, the company would decide on investment for each park. However, the company has not yet finalised the other locations.

Further, the company has launched the domestic container terminal at Nagulapalli in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh. The Nagulapalli domestic container terminal has come up on 16 acre entailing an investment of Rs 26 crore. The terminal would also house a multi-modal park that would come up with on 64 acre, which is under acquisition, with Rs 60-65 crore investment.

Container Corporation of India is engaged in the business of transportation through containerization and it is the market leader having the largest network of 59 ICDs/CFSs in India.
