Havells India, a fast-moving electrical goods company has reportedly started production at its new facility at Haridwar in Uttarakhand. This new facility will manufacture tables, pedestal and wall-hanging (TPW) and exhaust fans. The company has set up this new unit at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 50 crore and has a total capacity of 7 million per annum. This new facility will help to bring in cost advantage as well as reduce dependence on imports from Chinese products in the segment.
Havells India is engaged in selling products in Kerala for several years and the business has shown an upward trend in terms of turnover in a short span of time. It has 10 manufacturing facilities in India in various states, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
