Bharat Electronics (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, has ended the year 2013-14 with Rs 6,180 crore turnover (provisional). The company registered a record turnover of Rs 6,180 crore provisional for the last fiscal against the turnover of Rs 6,012 crores during 2012-13. It achieved exports worth $41.70 million in 2013-14, registering a growth of 27.21 percent over the previous year’s export turnover of $32.78 million.
With a healthy order book of around Rs 23,200 crore, the company is all set to continue its good run in the next financial year. Some of the significant orders executed during the year include Weapon System for the Indian Air Force and Indian Army, Central Acquisition Radar, Low Level Light Weight Radar, Shipborne Electronic Warfare System, Low Intensity Conflict Electronic Warfare System, Missile Warning System, Passive Night Vision Devices and Electronic Voting Machine.
Bharat Electronics is a multi-product, multi-technology, multi-unit conglomerate with over 350 products in the areas of military communication, radars, naval systems, C4I systems, weapon systems, homeland security, telecom & broadcast systems, electronic warfare, tank electronics, electro-optics, professional electronic components and solar photovoltaic systems.
