Astral Poly gains on plan to enter into bendable multilayered CPVC system for gas distribution

Astral Poly is currently trading at Rs. 473.80, up by 6.90 points or 1.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 466.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 471.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 475.00 and Rs. 468.00 respectively. So far 597 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 508.60 on 26-Mar-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 144.80 on 09-Apr-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 489.30 and Rs. 460.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2640.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.82% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.61% and 19.58% respectively.

Astral Poly Technik is planning to enter into bendable multilayered chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) piping system for gas distribution industry or city gas distribution (CGD) sector in India.

In this regard, the company is in the process to obtain certificate from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for its FlowGuard Bendable Multilayer pipes, which would be used in the gas distribution.

At present, the company manufactures plumbing systems for residential and industrial applications. Astral is equipped with state of art production facilities at Ahmadabad and Himachal Pradesh to manufacture plumbing systems from 1/2” to 6” with all kinds of necessary fittings.
