Asian Paints has temporarily suspended operations at Cuddalore plant in Tamil Nadu as some equipment and materials at the company's Penterythritol plant has been damaged due to severe cyclonic storm ‘Thane’. The damage is being assessed by the company.

Further, all equipment and materials have been fully insured by the company and the above will have no impact on the manufacturing of paints by the company.

Penterythritol is an intermediate raw material which is being manufactured at the above plant.

Asian Paints manufactures paints in the category of Decorative, Automative and Industrial segment. Apart from these the company also manufactures various Accessories like, Wall Primar, Wood Primer, Putty and Stainers etc.
