KIC Metaliks has received an approval for expansion cum modernization of company’s existing Pig Iron Plant by installation of Pulverized coal injection (PCI) system for the existing Mini Blast Furnace (MBF), along with installation of Nitrogen Plant and Oxygen Plant. To increase the sinter feed in the MBF, a 25 square meter Annual Sinter Plant will also be installed.
The proposed project is expected to reduce the coke rate consumption resulting in reduction of cost of production coupled with an increase in the production capacity of the existing MBF from 1,65,000 MTPA to 2,35,000 MTPA.
The proposed project is expected to be completed in a period of 12 months with a capital outlay of approximately Rs 68 crore which will be funded through debt and internal accruals.
