Taking advantage of shift to digital signals from analogue in the four metros, SITI Cable Network, after achieving over 1.2 million digital Cable TV customer base in three markets of Phase-1 cities of DAS (Digital Addressable System), is looking to touch 2.5 million subscribers on its digital platform this fiscal.
The company is mainly targeting homes with multiple TV connection and is expanding its network in other strategic areas, which earlier were not correctly estimated by the industry. The company has done well so far and is expected to continue to acquire subscriber as few national MSO’s & the Independent operators, who have not scaled their digital infrastructure and investment, have offered the opportunity for SITI Cable to enhance its market share further.
The company, which has built up ample of Set Top Box (STB) stock, is now gearing up for the opportunity being offered in phase 2 and 3 of DAS. To facilitate the consumer an economical migration to digital cable TV, the company is now offering the STB at a subsidized rate of Rs 699 as one time activation charges.
