Dhanlaxmi Bank trades higher despite reporting net loss of Rs 18.62 crore in Q2

Dhanlaxmi Bank is currently trading at Rs. 57.70, up by 1.25 points or 2.21% from its previous closing of Rs. 56.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 56.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 58.20 and Rs. 55.65 respectively. So far 104962 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 79.20 on 09-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 42.40 on 29-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 64.80 and Rs. 55.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 491.66 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.76% and 71.24% stake in the company, respectively.

Dhanlaxmi Bank has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2012.

The bank has reported a net loss of Rs 18.62 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to a net profit of Rs 4.35 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has decreased by 18.19% at Rs 335.86 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 410.53 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) of the bank have increased to 3.57% for the quarter as against 0.55% in the previous quarter. Net non-performing assets (NPAs) of the bank were at 2.50%, higher than 0.17% in the previous quarter.
