Karur Vysya Bank rises after SBI Mutual Fund acquires 1.5% stake in bank

Karur Vysya Bank is currently trading at Rs. 166.00, up by 1.10 points or 0.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 164.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 170.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 170.35 and Rs. 165.60 respectively. So far 299681 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 170.35 on 13-Dec-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 92.80 on 27-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 170.35 and Rs. 154.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13329.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 2.24%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 50.37% and 47.40% respectively.

SBI Mutual Fund has acquired shares of Karur Vysya Bank for Rs 190 crore through open market transactions. SBI Mutual Fund has purchased a total of 1,20,00,000 shares, amounting to a 1.5% stake in Karur Vysya Bank. The shares were picked at an average price of Rs 162 apiece on both bourses (BSE and NSE). 

Karur Vysya Bank is among six old generation private sector banks that have been identified by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to implement Speed Clearing at Mumbai.
