Dhanlaxmi Bank, Kerala-based private sector lender is sought to secure an infusion of fresh capital within the next two-three months. Earlier, US-based lender evinced interest in investing however Dhanlaxmi Bank had later called-off negotiations as it was not comfortable with the ownership pattern of the US bank.
The bank’s net profit for the quarter jumped by 168.51% at Rs 4.35 crore as compared to Rs 1.62 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. Total income has increased by 79.11% to Rs. 410.53 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 229.20 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
