Atlantic Spinning & Weaving Mills was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on April 4, 1986. In the year 1987 it took over an existing Textile Unit of Chowgule & Co as per memorandum of understanding dated September 24, 1987 (copy enclosed as material document) and commenced commercial operations in the year 1988. With the deft handling by the new management the unit has been consistently making profits from the very first year of operations. The company has its manufacturing unit at Xeldem in the State of Goa. It has a vast marketing set-up all over India at centres like Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Hyderabad, Erode, Surat, Kanpur, Meerut, Bhilwara, Ludhiana and Amritsar. The manufacturing units are well connected with rail, road and air and has a seaport very near for export. The company is presently implementing a modernization-cum expansion project.
Business area of the company
The company manufactures a wide variety of blended yarn, like viscose acrylic, cotton, polyester yarns as per market demand including slub yarn. Most of the machines are rated and constitute the latest technology including computerized controlled process which results in negligible wastage and superior quality of the finished product. Over the years the product has been very well received in the market.
