The Nifty Metal Index is designed to reflect the behavior and performance of the Metals sector including mining. The Nifty Metal Index comprises of maximum of 15 stocks that are listed on the National Stock Exchange.Effective September 28, 2015, the weights of each company in the index are capped at 20%. At the time of rebalancing of shares/ change in index constituents/ change in investable weight factors (IWFs), the weightage of the index constituent (where applicable) is capped at 20%. Weightage of such stock may increase beyond 20% between the rebalancing periods.
